We’re looking to hire a stellar Systems Administrator who will be responsible for aiding in architecting and maintaining a robust distributed systems infrastructure that will enable the company to succeed as it grows. What you'll do:

  • Security administration and environment hardening
  • Server environment monitoring
  • Proactive/preventative system servicing
  • Virtualized environment management
  • Network troubleshooting and general management
  • Write amazing documentation
  • VoIP administration
  • Administer software systems (internal and hosted)
  • On-call support for production operations

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • 2+ years of experience administering Linux-based production systems (preferably CentOS or RHEL)
  • 2+ years of experience with VMWare ESX or similar virtualization systems (KVM)
  • Basic-to-Advanced understanding of Internet-related applications (e-mail, FTP, browsers, etc.)
  • Basic-to-Advanced knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, Bash, PERL, or Python preferred)
  • Ability to lift hardware weighing 50 pounds or more
  • Eye for details
  • Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to gain and share knowledge
  • Comfort and desire to work in any OS (including Windows and Mac OS)

Extra credit:

  • Puppet
  • Systems Automation
  • Experience with database administration (MySQL preferred)
  • Strong desire to use, support, and commit back to open source projects
  • Understanding of network architecture, and administration
