What you'll do:

  • Architect and develop a modular, scalable platform that integrates systems across the enterprise
  • Mentor other software engineers
  • Write absolutely amazing code
  • Write even better documentation
  • Review partner and vendor systems and code for integration
  • Create high volume web services
  • Convert functional requirements to working applications
  • Create and maintain databases
  • Participate in code reviews, create and practice coding standards
  • Participate in application testing

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • 4+ years software architecture experience
  • Strong experience with service-oriented architecture, enterprise service buses (ESBs), and message queueing (MQ) systems
  • 6+ years Java software development, primarily in the enterprise architecture integration domain
  • Thorough understanding of PHP or similar modern programming language.
  • Thorough knowledge of SQL (particularly MySQL)
  • Knowledge of scaling and application optimization
  • Unit testing experience, particularly with PHPUnit and Selenium
  • Knowledge of SOAP and REST
  • Knowledge of standards and best practice design patterns for Object Oriented Programming, MVC and Database design
  • Good design taste (even for internal applications)
  • Eye for details
  • Ability to work among multiple teams and communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical teammates
  • A willingness to gain and share knowledge
